Positive Affirmations, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Worth: A Guided Meditation for Healing

In our fast-paced, image-saturated world, it's easy to lose touch with our inner value. We’re told to be confident and self-assured, yet many of us carry hidden wounds

raw places inside that ache for validation, understanding, and love.

If you’ve ever struggled to feel “enough” or found yourself chasing perfection, you are not alone. This guided meditation for positive affirmations, self-acceptance, and self-worth is here to support you on your healing journey.

At my private practice in Lakewood, Colorado—and through virtual therapy throughout the state—I support individuals and couples in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, healing emotional wounds, and building the foundation of a life rooted in authenticity and connection. This affirmation meditation is one of the many tools I use to help cultivate safety for insight—because healing begins when we feel safe enough to see ourselves clearly.

Why Affirmations Matter in Your Healing Journey

Positive affirmations are more than just feel-good phrases. When used intentionally and mindfully,

affirmations can rewire limiting beliefs and gently replace internalized shame with truth and compassion.

This is especially powerful when paired with somatic awareness, such as chakra meditation, which connects the mind, body, and emotional self.

In this affirmation meditation, we bring our attention to the

solar plexus chakra

—the energetic center of confidence, self-worth, and personal power. Located just above the navel and represented by the color yellow, this chakra governs how we see ourselves and how we believe others perceive us.

When the solar plexus chakra is balanced, we feel empowered, self-assured, and aligned with our purpose. But when it’s blocked or weakened by trauma, criticism, or chronic self-doubt, we may experience anxiety, low self-esteem, or a sense of not being enough. Healing begins when we slow down, tune in, and speak to ourselves with radical compassion.

A Guided Meditation for Self-Worth and Acceptance

Let’s take a few moments together to reconnect with your inner light.

Begin by taking a deep, cleansing breath. Allow your body to relax into the surface beneath you. With each breath, invite peace and exhale any tension you’re carrying.

As you settle into your breath’s natural rhythm, gently place your hands over your solar plexus. Visualize a warm, yellow glow beginning to shimmer just beneath your palms. This light is your power—your self-worth, always present, even if dimmed.

Repeat quietly or internally: “I see me. All of me.”

With each repetition, allow the yellow glow to grow brighter. As it radiates, it holds space for your raw, tender places—the parts of you that may still hurt.

I see those parts of me that are raw and it hurts. Those parts are part of me, but they are not all of me.

This is the heart of self-acceptance—recognizing our pain without letting it define our entire being. Healing doesn’t mean erasing these parts of you. It means honoring them and integrating them into a fuller, truer self.

All of me is worthy of being seen.

As your breath continues, the yellow light expands, surrounding your body with warmth and safety. In this glow, you speak a powerful truth:

I will not allow my healing journey to become stuck in attempts to fix.

Because you are not broken. The idea that we need to be “fixed” before we can be loved or accepted is one of the greatest wounds our culture has passed down. Your healing doesn’t come from fixing—it comes from compassion, understanding, and deep presence.

There is no fixing my being needs. I am not broken. There is simply understanding, compassion, and healing needed here.

As your self-worth strengthens and your body continues to rest in this meditative space, repeat:

As I fully accept all of me and heal the rawest parts of me, my self-worth and confidence grow.

This is the essence of self-worth affirmation—not a performance, not perfection, but permission to be whole, messy, evolving, and beautifully human.

I will embrace my healing journey and release the idea that there is something to be fixed. I am not broken.

Allow this mantra to sink deeply into your being.

As the meditation gently draws to a close, thank yourself for showing up. You’ve created a powerful moment of self-connection, one that plants seeds of healing that will continue to grow.

Integrating This Practice Into Your Life

This meditation can be revisited anytime you feel disconnected from your self-worth or lost in self-doubt. Pairing meditation with therapy can deepen the healing process and provide safe, compassionate support as you explore your inner world.

At my practice, I offer:

  • Couples and Relationship Therapy to strengthen connection and resolve conflict with compassion.

  • Sex Therapy to explore intimacy and heal shame in a safe, affirming space.

  • Therapy for Depression and Anxiety, grounded in insight, safety, and deep listening.

Whether in-person in Lakewood or virtually across Colorado, our work together begins with a different kind of invitation—an affordable 50-minute initial session for $19.99. It’s more than a consultation; it’s a chance to feel what safety and insight can look like in practice.
