Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines psychotherapy with ketamine treatment to support deeper emotional exploration, self-understanding, and healing. KAP may be an option for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, or patterns that have been difficult to shift through traditional therapy alone.
At Intima, we offer a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to KAP, integrating preparation, therapeutic support, and integration sessions to help you make meaning of your experiences and apply insights to everyday life.
Flexible Prescribing Options
You are welcome to work with your own qualified medical provider for ketamine prescribing and medical oversight. If you don't already have a provider, we can share a list of prescribing professionals we've previously worked with.
Your prescribing provider is responsible for determining medical eligibility, prescribing ketamine, and providing appropriate medical guidance. Intima provides the psychotherapy component of your KAP experience.
We also offer self-guided ketamine treatment options with psychotherapy preparation and integration support for clients who prefer a more independent experience, when clinically appropriate.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy services are available to eligible clients in Lakewood, Colorado, and virtually throughout Colorado, as clinically appropriate.

You don't have to be in crisis or have a specific diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes, simply feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or curious about yourself is enough reason to seek support.
Therapy can provide a space to explore your emotions, understand relationship patterns, navigate life transitions, and develop a deeper connection with yourself and others.
At Intima Couples and Sex Therapy, we believe therapy is a collaborative process. Your therapist will work with you to understand your experiences, identify what matters most to you, and explore approaches that align with your needs and goals.
If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, we offer a free 30-minute virtual consultation. This gives you an opportunity to meet with a therapist, ask questions, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit before committing to ongoing sessions.
-
Your first therapy session at Intima Couples and Sex Therapy is an opportunity for you and your therapist to begin getting to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from the experience.
Your therapist may ask about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, emotional well-being, and previous experiences with therapy. You'll also have time to ask questions, share your preferences, and discuss what would help you feel comfortable and supported.
You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Therapy is a collaborative process, and you can share at a pace that feels right for you.
Our full therapy sessions are approximately 50–55 minutes and are available in person in Lakewood, Colorado, or virtually throughout the state.
If you'd prefer to meet your therapist before beginning ongoing therapy, we also offer a free 30-minute virtual consultation.
